Touch Arcade - Racing games on mobile platforms can be a bit of a mixed bag. Between the abuse of IAPs and the finicky nature of tilt and touch controls alone, it's hard to really find a good racer these days. 2K Drive [$6.99] is aiming high, attempting to take the throne from Real Racing 3 in the realm of more simulation-style racers, and in the process, it's a solid addition to the mobile racing genre.

AndroidShock: In racing it is all about being ahead and being in first place. With the amount of car racing games, even the niche ones, the competition can get pretty heavy. It seems this is the case for the new updates for FireMonkeys and EAs racing game, Real Racing 3 as a new rival game (2K Drive) just got released. The new content in Real Racing 3 is nothing to scoff at either.

Real Racing 3 update adds seven new Porsche cars and a VIP service How's about this for fortuitous timing from EA and Firemonkeys? On the same day that rival racer 2K Drive parked on the App Store, free-to-play driving game Real Racing 3 has been updated with a fleet of new cars and extra content. The game's garage now features seven new Porsche cars - that's seven generations of the Porsche 911, specifically. Some cost cash, other cost gold, and all need t...

2K Drive leaves Apple's approvals pit lane and accelerates onto the App Store 2K Drive has just raced onto the App Store. I should probably use a more exciting term there. 'Skidded'? 'Exploded'? Review: Asphalt 8: Airborne

Asphalt 8: Airborne If Real Racing 3 is a precision instrument, then Asphalt 8: Airborne is a lump hammer. Where Firemonkeys's racer tuts at you when you so much as graze the bodywork of your expensive supercar, Gameloft's latest rejoices in such carnage and destruction. Driven into some scenery? Have a nitro boost. Somehow managed to spin your car 360 degrees in the air, land it on its wheels, and keep on raci...
